Mom telling my boyfriend lies on me

Dear Pastor,

What do you think about a mother who is always telling your boyfriend things about you? I am 20 and I live with my

mother and two other sisters. My mother doesn't like me. My other sisters are her eyeballs. They can afford to give her things. One of them has a doctor as her boyfriend and he sees my mother for free. My other sister's boyfriend is a bus driver. He gives her money every week. She even cooks for him.

I have a boyfriend who is trying. The little money he makes, he shares it with me because I am not working. My mother told him a lot of lies on me to get him to leave me. When I told him those things are not true he refused to believe me. My

mother told him that I am giving him "bun" and how many pregnancies I aborted.

Pastor, I have never got pregnant. I want to leave this place. My boyfriend and I are trying to find a place to live. I don't know what I have done my mother. Even my sisters said my mother is lying on me. I told my boyfriend that he can go if he wants to go. He said he is not leaving. Do you think my mother would ever change?

Dear F.E.,

Don't worry too much about the behaviour of your mother. She is the type of mother you may call, 'licky licky'. Be careful not to be disrespectful to her. For some reason your mother might be jealous of you. Perhaps you are the prettiest of all of the girls. Don't be discouraged and make sure you do not at any time disrespect your mother.
