Arnett Gardens clip MoBay United 1-0 - Molynes United clobber Spanish Town Police 9-0 in JPL

Arnett Gardens stunned Jamaica Premier League (JPL) leaders Montego Bay United 1-0, while Molynes United clobbered Spanish Town Police 9-0 to climb out of the relegation zone in Wednesday's midweek fixtures.

At Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Kevaughn Wilson fired Arnett into the lead after only three minutes on the clock, and the home team held that result to the end.

MoBay United continue to lead the league on 65 points, four clear of Mount Pleasant Football Academy. Arnett are seventh on 46 points.

At Royal Lakes Complex, Molynes United, with two goals from Nigerian Samson Oke, and one each from Rashawn Livingston, Nicholas Nelson, Odane Murray, Nichache Murray, Zubeiru Suleiman and Tyrique Wilson, plus an own goal from Ryieme Gayle, scored a massive 9-0 mauling of Spanish Town Police.

The result lifted Molynes one place up the table to 12th with 30 points. Spanish Town Police stay rooted at the foot of the table on 26 points.

Meanwhile, Treasure Beach slipped into the bottom two after they lost 3-0 to Chapelton Maroons at St Elizabeth Technical High School Sports Complex. Chapelton are eighth on 46 points.

Zane Pinnock's brace (16th, 41st) gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at the break, before veteran striker Levaughn Williams sealed the win with a goal in the 90th minute.

Treasure Beach (30 points) sunk to 13th in the table on 30 points, the same as Molynes United and four clear of Spanish Town Police.

Meanwhile, in the other two early matches, Cavalier and Portmore battled to a 0-0 draw at Ferdi Neita Park, as did Dunbeholden and Racing in the Portmore derby at Dunbeholden Sports Complex.

Portmore stayed fourth on 56 points, while Cavalier remain in sixth with 49 points. Racing kept third spot with 56 points and Dunbeholden held on to ninth with 45 points.

At Drewsland, Waterhouse kept their momentum going, after Ky-mani Campbell's first half goal gave them a 1-0 win over Tivoli Gardens FC.

Although Waterhouse remain fifth in the standings, they drew level with Racing and Portmore on 56 points.

The other game between Mount Pleasant and Harbour View ended 1-1. Trayvone Reid fired Harbour View in front after 24 minutes, but Raheem Edwards tied the game for the hosts with a 53rd-minute strike.

Mount Pleasant are second on 61 points. Harbour View are 11th with 33 points.
