Apostle apologises for crude remarks
Apostle Kerrian Johnson has issued a public apology to the general public, especially her church members and followers, over a recent outburst which many claim were not of the Christian community.
In an interview with THE STAR last week, Johnson, who heads His Majesty's Sanctuary Deliverance Ministry, admitted that when she was accused of using obeah to win fellow pastor David Palmer's heart, she blatantly stated that 'it was not obeah a mi ole'. She stated that the two, although dating, have never been intimate, but said she only responded out of provocation.
But on Wednesday, in a post on social media, Johnson said she was taking accountability for the way she responded.
"I was provoked after a series of messages and when questioned by THE STAR [about] how I responded, I chose not to lie and I told them how I responded and that has caused a level of controversy. Now did I respond as a child of God? Did I respond as an apostle? No, I did not. In that moment, I had allowed flesh to get the best of me and it also proved the word of God that it is not what a man eats that defiles him but what comes out of his mouth. So I am taking accountability for that. In all other matters, the Lord has allowed me and has told me to stand still and as such, I will not address any other," she said.
Following the interview, persons not only bashed Johnson for her actions but also criticised the Revivalist community. Johnson asked persons to refrain from bashing that community, adding that she does not identify as a member.
"I believe it is not fair that you are bashing the Revivalist community for my actions. This is my mistake and I am taking full responsibility for it. I want to bless the Lord for each of you who are standing with me and are praying for me. The word of God must be fulfilled and it has been fulfilled in me, because if I had responded in another manner, when THE STAR questioned me, I could have answered differently. Nevertheless, do not allow my mistake to stop you from serving the Lord Jesus Christ," she said.
Johnson also apologised to all members of the clergy who felt as if she disrespected the role and office of an apostle.
"I continue to stand in what the Lord has called me to do and as I say, for all other matters, the Lord has commanded me to stand still so I will not be addressing them at this time. I do pray that as I continue to stand in my apostolic calling as the servant of God, and as I go forward, I will allow the spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ to lead me and I asked all of you wherever you believe that I have erred to pray for me that the Lord will restore me," Johnson added.
