Stone throwing results in wounding charge

A St Catherine man who used a stone to injure a woman during a disagreement pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court yesterday.

He is Joel Lawrence allegedly threw a stone hit her on left elbow which caused a wound that bled.

The judge told the complainant that the accused is to be sentenced March 13.

The complainant's father presented a receipt to the court for $15,000 which he spent on a doctor's visit for the complainant.

The accused accepted that he was willing to pay the sum.
