Cop caught smuggling ganja, knives into lock-up

A district constable is now in custody after he was caught smuggling contraband into the Spanish Town lock-ups.
Reports are that about 5:30 p.m. yesterday, the policeman was held at a cell with four ounces of ganja, three ratchet knives, two lighters, one cellular phone and a white powdery substance.
Reports are that the accused was acting suspiciously when he was spotted by a sergeant.
He was accosted and a search was requested. It is said that the items were found strapped to his body.
The policeman was taken into custody on suspicion of breaches of the Corrections Act.
